Our company is guided by a dedicated group of directors who set the strategic direction and uphold the values that define ERC. Leading the way are our directors - Mel Fearn, Liz MacMillan, Johan Bezuidenhout, Anthea Bosman, and Ian Jackson. Together, they bring a balance of operational experience, financial insight, and long-term vision that drives the business forward and ensures consistent delivery across all projects. This leadership team is strongly supported by our office staff, who form the backbone of our project administration and commercial management. Clarise van Niekerk (Senior Quantity Surveyor) provides oversight on costing, contracts, and financial governance, while Jerome du Plessis (Assistant Quantity Surveyor) assists in maintaining accurate project data, forecasting, and documentation. Completing the support structure is Advocate Nathan Williams (Human Resource Manager and Labour Lawyer) and Venessa du Toit (Payroll Administrator), whose attention to detail ensures the smooth and reliable management of all payroll and workforce-related processes.
Ian Jackson - Operations Director
The ERC operations division is spearheaded by our Contracts Managers — Dominic Olivari, John Lake, and Craig Swartz — whose collective experience ensures that every project is executed with precision, accountability, and a strong client focus. They are supported by Julian Veroni our Contracts Coordinator who ensures that all our projects are administered expertly and professionally. The team's ability is strengthened by an exceptional group of more than 30 site managers, foremen, cable jointers, health and safety officers and projects coordinators who bring deep technical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving ability, and consistent quality control to every site. Backing this structure is a skilled labour force of more than 100 electricians and electrical assistants and at any given time, enabling ERC to mobilise quickly, adapt to changing project demands, and deliver reliably across multiple sites throughout the Western Cape.
Richard Holmes (Senior Engineer) leads our medium-voltage (1 000 V – 35 000 V) and high-voltage (35 000 V – 245 000 V) divisions, managing the planning, coordination, and execution of some of the most technically demanding electrical installations in the Western Cape. With decades of hands-on experience, Richard has earned the trust of consulting engineers, long-standing clients, utility stakeholders, and key decision-makers within the City of Cape Town. His ability to translate technical challenges into practical, compliant, and cost-effective solutions has made him a go-to specialist in this field. His contribution continues to elevate ERC’s reputation as a reliable partner on critical electrical infrastructure projects.
